- I taught math for 38 years in the Alliance City Schools. I suffered a stroke during heart surgery in the Summer of 2007. When I returned to school, I wanted to stay connected to my colleagues. I formed an email group of family and colleagues who were willing to pull my ice floe back to land and save my life. I am currently writing my first novel.
